Azlan Nazam

Azlan Nazam is the Founding Director of Studio Illumine, a multidisciplinary lighting design practice based in Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur. Drawing from backgrounds in both Architectural Lighting and Interior Design, he creates human-centric lighting experiences that enhance atmosphere, elevate architecture, and support well-being.

Having worked across Asia and Europe, Azlan brings a global perspective shaped by diverse cultures and design approaches. Under his leadership, Studio Illumine has spent more than a decade partnering with international brands and multinational organisations to deliver award-winning projects across retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, workplaces, and public environments.

Guided by the belief that great spaces are not only seen but felt, Azlan and his team craft lighting solutions that balance creativity, purpose, and lasting impact.
