Qinglong Gucuiyinxiu Clubhouse is the core of a new elegant residential development located in Hangzhou, China The project tries to establish a language of purity and quietness. The clubhouse is conceived as a social gathering place for the residents, aimed at creating an island of relaxation and escape from everyday stresses.

We see the clubhouse as a gateway, bridging between the architecture and the lush landscape. The proportional system, the choice of the materials and details establish a focus on the processional qualities of the spaces, embracing the users at its passage. All the elements and their geometries create a system that arouses sense of monumentality and purity.

The central staircase is a modern interpretation of the traditional wood joinery mortise-and-tenon technique, without any other fixing material. The clubhouse spaces are an invitation to leave back the stresses of everyday life while enjoying a moment of self-care. The transition to the wellness area is marked by the lighting, getting dimmer: an invitation to peaceful silence. The areas of the spa are kept pure and ethereal through the use of stone and paint, generating a distance between the visitor and the architecture, which arouses a feeling of respectful silence and contemplation.
