Yingfan Zhang

Co-founder and Chief Architect , Atelier Alter Architects

Yingfan Zhang, received her Bachelor of Architecture from The Cooper Union, her Master of Architecture in Urban Design form GSD Harvard University. She is a registered architect in the State of New York, a member of the American Institute of Architects, as well as a certified member of National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. 

Her portfolio includes Museum for Qujing Culture Center, CCUP pavilion, Beiji Island Master planning, Wuli Epoch Experiment Center, BIT Sports Center, Dali Transformer Theatrical Park etc. Prior to setting up her practice, Ying worked for Atelier Raimund Abraham and RMJM North America. During that time, she participated in numerous international projects, which includes the Jingya Ocean Entertainment Center Beijing, the Madinat Al Soor new island development in Dubai, Abu Dhabi mix used highrise and Washington University science lab.

In 2009, she began her own practice Atelier Alter with her partner Xiaojun Bu. Noted for designing from critical analysis of the site, Atelier Alter has been recognized by numerous awards.
