Gerald R. Ford International Airport Sensory Room

HKS

Client: Gerald R Ford International Airport Authority

Sensory rooms are especially important for neurodivergent individuals, such as those with autism, ADHD, or sensory processing differences, who may be more vulnerable to crowded, noisy, or unpredictable environments. When thoughtfully designed, these spaces become places of dignity and empowerment for people of all ages, expanding equitable access to public environments.
