Global Hospitality Organization DIFC Gate Village Offices
SAY Studio
The client brief was to create a workplace that reflects the values and experience associated with their flag, extending the brand’s commitment to exceptional service and meaningful connections from guests to employees. The design needed to accommodate diverse workstyles, encourage collaboration, support flexibility, and provide an environment that prioritises comfort, wellbeing and community.
The design concept is centred around the idea of a “safe haven” inspired by hospitality. Flowing curves form the defining architectural language throughout the workplace, creating a sense of movement and continuity while guiding users intuitively through different areas. The interior experience unfolds as a series of carefully considered destinations, including an arrival lounge, executive boardroom, social hub, collaborative spaces, wellness areas and flexible work settings.
Nature plays a central role in the design approach, with biophilic principles integrated throughout the workplace. A central tree feature acts as a symbolic anchor, representing the Four Seasons brand while reinforcing the connection between people and nature. Planting, natural materials, timber finishes, earthy tones and organic forms create a warm and restorative atmosphere that reflects the changing seasons.
The workplace is designed around community and connection rather than a traditional desk-based model. A central Social Hub encourages interaction through flexible seating, an open island counter and hospitality-inspired amenities. Breakout lounges, informal collaboration areas, huddle rooms and adaptable meeting spaces provide employees with a variety of environments suited to different activities and working styles. Dedicated wellness facilities, including a private wellness room, further support employee comfort and wellbeing.
Material selection reinforces the hospitality-driven approach, combining natural textures, warm finishes and durable materials to create a timeless and inviting environment. Integrated lighting, bespoke architectural elements and crafted details enhance the sense of quality and reinforce the brand’s attention to detail.
Sustainability was embedded within the design strategy through the use of biophilic elements, low-emitting finishes, energy-efficient lighting solutions, responsible material choices and a focus on occupant wellbeing. The project is LEED Gold certified, demonstrating a commitment to creating a high-performing workplace with reduced environmental impact.
Through thoughtful planning, innovative workplace strategies and a design language rooted in hospitality, this space transforms a compact corporate environment into a highly personalised workplace experience. One that reflects the brand’s legacy while supporting the future of work.
