PABLO Art Pavilion

Design Plus Design

Client: PABLO

PABLO commissioned DPD to create a 356㎡ art pavilion at the Guangzhou International Furniture Fair, conveying the brand's "symbiosis" philosophy beyond traditional product displays.

The design uses a "life journey through the desert" narrative across eight immersive scenes: Water, Green, Sand, Fire, Light, Stone, Wind, Star. A water feature with the "Shunde·Dragon" installation honors local culture. The "Song" daybed (co-created with Song'tude) mimics pine branches. Scenes include a cigar lounge, private bedroom, light theater, dual living room, ending with a communal table celebrating human connection.

The temporary structure used modular prefabrication. All elements were factory-made and assembled on-site within three days, then disassembled for recycling post-event.

Material innovations include textured wall coatings mimicking sandstone and bark, metal-fabric contrasts, and mirrored water features. Each material's natural properties are respected, minimizing secondary processing.

Sustainability features: modular systems for material reuse, low-VOC coatings, and existing furniture collections requiring no additional production.

This pavilion offers a new paradigm for independent brand spaces: narrative-driven, sensory-rich, and returning design to human-nature symbiosis.
