Villa Infinity
K-Studio
Client: Highstay
Conceived as the soul of Highstay's collection of exceptional villas, the project reimagines the traditional finca as an immersive hospitality experience rooted in the spirit of Ibiza. Balancing refined comfort with authenticity, the house celebrates craftsmanship, art and the inherent virtues of the property, offering guests a contemporary interpretation of Mediterranean living.
The story of the house was retold, from the first impression to daily inhabitation. Spaces were rearranged to group the social areas harmoniously, spilling into open-air patios, while every design decision was imbued with meaning and a sense of ceremony.
The entrance was reimagined as a sheltered patio beneath an extensive wooden pergola. Offering glimpses of the interior, this threshold is centred around a proud olive tree rising from a shallow water feature, while heavy pivot doors open towards either the house or the garden.
Previously fragmented living spaces were unified into generous arrangements that narrate stories of daily life as rituals of inhabiting. The central staircase was remodelled into a sculptural focal point within the interior landscape.
In the garden, the pool defines the plot's edge, while lounges and an outdoor gym are nestled within stone enclosures or beneath pergolas, creating places for relaxation and togetherness.
Private areas unfold in seclusion, offering moments of retreat and deeper connection to the surrounding landscape. The five guest bedrooms each feature an ensuite bathroom and private terrace access, while the children's room offers a playful, flexible environment. The master suite enjoys its own terrace with expansive sea views and a lush roof garden lounge for stargazing.
A congregation of fine natural materials, meticulously crafted by experts in their fields, meets the local vernacular to compose a rich tactile palette. Soft-rendered volumes are framed by dry stone-clad boxes, allowing the house to blend gently into its surroundings.
The spaces between the enclosed volumes extend into pergolas with chestnut-frame canopies woven with wicker. Flagstones connect garden paths with selected interior areas, while concrete screed defines the remaining floor surfaces. Metal windows with muntins frame the views, while rendered arches and sculpted niches enrich the interior.
Woodwork, from doors and ceiling beams to bespoke cabinetry, reinforces the finca's grounded heritage through a contemporary lens. Carefully curated furniture and artworks, whether custom-made or selected pieces, give the house a distinctly personal character.
With a minimalist aesthetic and warm ambience, Villa Infinity retains its character with an optimistic nod towards its future, blending architectural finesse with the enduring heritage of the island while establishing the architectural language and atmosphere that define the Highstay villa experience.
