Kirsten Schwalgien is a German designer, founder and CEO of studio Kirsten Schwalgien Design, with headquarters in Barcelona. She is an innovative, multi-faceted interior architect & yacht designer with an ongoing expertise in both fields. Having built much of her experience on the unconventionalities of yacht design, every project is approached from an avant-garde perspective, always in search of innovation. The German designer has a preference for natural materials of the highest quality and the ability to reveal and enhance their beauty by experimenting with finishes as she has shown in her award wining residential project Loft BuresQ / Barcelona. Other outstanding projects include the recently completed highly customized yacht tenders for the Feadship MY Moonrise, Shadow Yacht Design in collaboration with Damen Shipyard, and Real Estate developments in Barcelona. The studio is currently working on a 130m Motoryacht development and has a 65m Motoryacht under construction which will be launched in November 2021.
