Alex Gordon

Independent Consultant

Alex is a highly experienced architect and designer. He spent nearly 20 years working at leading London architects and interior designers, Jestico + Whiles prior to becoming an Independent Consultant. He specialises in the design of buildings in sensitive historic environments across multiple sectors including mixed-use, housing, education, workplace, culture and hospitality. Key award-winning past projects include the residential-led mixed-use redevelopment of Queen's Yard in Hackney Wick, London, the mixed-use redevelopment of Tower Works in Leeds, and the refurbishment and expansion of two secondary schools in Hackney; Stoke Newington School and Clapton Girls' Academy. Alex is a visiting tutor at a number of UK universities and has lectured widely across the country. He has also acted as an assessor for various design awards including the Brick Awards, the AJ Architecture Awards, the British Homes Awards and the WIN Awards.
